For this weekly panel, I give you the Cardinal. He is our mastermind type villain in The Pirate Musketeers, but he does underestimate his young king, who may prove to be more devious than himself.
I feel like this panel has a lot of Al Williamson and Wally Wood influences. Am I wrong or do you see any others?

You've nailed that parallel crosshatching technique found on the stairs. I also like marbling technique as it transitions from light to shadow.
I am not sure where I came across that marbeling technique, but I like it alot and have decided to make it part of my bag of tricks. The hatching on the stairs I am sure I picked up from Mark Shcultz.
